A community shaped across generations
Since its foundation in 1978, Trevisani di Vancouver has represented a lasting bond between Treviso and British Columbia.
What began as an association created to preserve cultural identity has grown into a living community — rooted in shared heritage, strengthened by friendship, and carried forward across generations.
A history built through people, traditions, leadership, and enduring ties between Treviso and British Columbia.
From foundation to continuity
Over the decades, the association has evolved together with its members, celebrating traditions, building community, and creating meaningful connections between past and future.
Its history is made not only of dates and events, but of people — those who founded it, those who guided it, and those who continue to carry its spirit forward today.

Convegno 1998
September 1998 marked a particularly meaningful chapter in the history of Trevisani di Vancouver. It was the year of the association’s 20th anniversary, celebrated with a major convegno that brought together Trevisani associations from across Canada and Italy.
Over three memorable days, Vancouver hosted meetings, discussions, cultural exchange, gala events, and moments of celebration that reflected the strength of the community’s connection to its roots.
The theme of the convegno — “Ieri, Oggi, Domani” — captured the spirit of the occasion: a reflection on the past, a celebration of the present, and a shared vision for the future. The event welcomed distinguished guests from Treviso and Rome, and gathered hundreds of participants in a program that included official meetings, a gala dinner, multicultural performances, a sightseeing cruise, and a closing mass for the community and their families.
For many, it remains one of the most significant and memorable moments in the association’s history.
Our history lives in the people who built this community, and in those who continue to shape its future.
